Maury Allen is an American sportswriter, actor, and a former columnist for the New York Post. His works include Mr. October: The Reggie Jackson Story and Jackie Robinson: A Life Remembered. He is also the cousin, by marriage, of Harry Eisenstat, a Jewish pitcher for the Detroit Tigers best known for having defeated Bob Feller in the 1938 game in which Feller set a record by striking out eighteen batters. Allen is a voter for the Baseball Hall of Fame.
